If a student chooses to pursue math or science, the earlier he or she start the math and science education the more likely it will be completed within 4 years. Even if one is unsure of thier major, they should know that about 90% of ALL college majors require some math and science background. Therefore, starting one's collegic career with math and science courses is generally a good idea. While college is fun, extra semesters are costly.

  3. Exploration and Exposure
Many high school students are just learning about college "majors" and haven't yet learned of the myriad of majors available in math and science. It's not just math, chemistry, biology and physics any more. Many schools have specialized and interdisciplinary programs that offer more than most students can imagine.
